When my family and I moved into our 1977 4 bedroom, detached cul-de=sac property, unfortunately it had all the interior design features of a 33 year old property with Kitsch internal features such as a free standing aluminium shower cubicle, marble vanity units, thick pink carpets, flocked wall paper and even a separate rooms one containing a bath with a second containing a wc.

The house needed its entire interior re-designing and updating to fetch it dragging and screaming into the 21st century, with contemporary finishes, modern appliances and services that a modern family demands.

Obviously we reserved the largest percentage of our budget for the kitchen and master bathroom, after all we felt the house deserved investment after the abuse and lack of investment it had had to endure for the past 33 years.

We asked several companies, including some major turnkey bathroom companies as advertised on TV! When Terry, the MD of THD, shared his vision for a modern master bathroom with whirlpool bath, wet room and dimming mood lighting we knew which company we wanted to work with.

The result is amazing and now one of the focal points in the transformed property.

It really is a new living space we can use all year round, whether for entertaining, working, relaxing, or just escaping for some peace and quiet (ours is a busy family home with three generations living together). We first approached Terry Huggett Developments Ltd in early 2009 as we were embarking on building a first floor extension to our home and his company had been highly recommended to us from a family friend. Also, after learning that Terry’s company had won a recent building award, we were very keen for him to undertake our building project.

At the outset, Terry was a very friendly & professional person who had a great understanding of our vision for our home. He came across as a trustworthy, honest person who had a fantastic knowledge of the building trade and went through every aspect of the build with us. We confirmed a start date of 30th March 2009 and this was adhered to and the build was to take approximately 4 months. In that time, Terry and his team worked tirelessly and conscientiously to complete our extension, which was built within the timescale, with very little mess or inconvenience and we were extremely happy with the end result. Terry and all members of his company (and contractors) were very hardworking, reliable, professional and courteous people and it was a pleasure having them at our home. We became good friends with Terry and his family and have remained in contact since our extension was finished.

Terry Huggett and his team have done numerous jobs for us over the years. He has completely transformed our bungalow. Every room has been replastered, new skirting boards, coving, new radiators and doors. He completely revamped our cloak room/wash room in the hall it looks stunning, everyone comments and always ask who did the work.
